1:12 — Verses 12-13 are not included. The reconstructed baseline gospel text (*Ev) lacks the temptation in any form; John's opening day-chain also leaves no forty-day interval. See Variant Exceptions.

1:14 — The phrase "after John was delivered up" and verses 16-20 are not included under a source-history decision that treats John's chronology as controlling here. See Variant Exceptions and The Calling of the Disciples.

1:41 — Most manuscripts read "moved with compassion" (σπλαγχνισθείς); CT is almost certain (Level B) that this is original. The UPDV follows a minority reading, "being angry" (ὀργισθείς), attested in Codex Bezae, early Latin, and Syriac evidence.

3:14 — Some manuscripts add whom he also named apostles. CT omits the phrase.

3:16 — Some manuscripts add And he appointed the twelve before this verse. CT omits the clause.
