Now late on the Sabbath day, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
2
And look, an angel appeared. His appearance was as lightning, and his clothing white as snow.
3
And the angel said to the women, Don't be⁺ afraid; for I know that you⁺ seek Jesus, who has been crucified.
4
He is not here; for he is risen, even as he said. Come, see the place where he was lying.
5
And they departed quickly from the tomb with fear, and fled.
