Guest-Chamber
The term guest-chamber in UPDV refers to a designated room set apart for honored guests or for formal communal meals. Samuel uses one when he receives Saul: "Samuel took Saul and his attendant, and brought them into the guest-chamber, and made them sit in the chiefest place among those who were invited, who were about thirty persons" (1Sa 9:22).
The canonical Mark 14:14 Passover guest-chamber scene is not included in the UPDV text. Within the translated UPDV surface, 1 Samuel 9:22 is therefore the direct guest-chamber anchor; older versions often render the same idea as "parlor" there.
